Principal, Leahann Nordin’s entrepreneurial drive began at the age of eight years old when weekend time was spent running Kool-Aid stands and the ‘store’ on her neighbourhood block. This spirit progressed in her teenage years to creating and selling handmade crafts to earn extra spending money. While at the University of Victoria taking business administration courses, and then onto Kwantlen Polytechnic University, completing her Bachelor of Applied Design when she began importing and selling children’s educational products as a part time business.
Over the past 18 years, Leahann has gained experience in the residential design and multi-family real estate development industry. Blending her education with an inherent practical design aesthetic and can-do personality, she has been employed or worked freelance with some of the most prominent design firms and residential developers in the Lower Mainland of BC. As part of the design team for 7 years at Hodgson Design Associates, she gained experience aiding some of the most prominent high end residential clients in Vancouver, working on multi -million dollar homes both within Canada and the USA. Then in 2006 onto multi- family development design work for Polygon Homes where her role was senior designer/project lead; responsible for designing unit finish specifications, common area spaces, model homes, for 3-5 multi-unit projects con-currently from start to finish.
The projects she has been involved in over the last 5 years have consisted of freelance project work, in both Interior Design and real estate marketing projects in BC and Alberta. Since 2013, Leahann has been working with her life partner and development expert, David Perehudoff, on the 300+ unit single family home development in Cold Lake, Alberta called The Heights at English Bay, part of Prestigious Properties Inc. portfolio. However, a management decision in the fall of 2015 has put the project on hold in light of the current Alberta economic and political climate.
A partnership formed in January 2016, with real estate investment expert and president of Prestigious Properties Inc., Thomas Beyer and David and Leahann’s recent focus has been creating an attainable housing development in the southern Okanagan, in Oliver, BC. The project is called Oliver Landing. Leahann will put her mark on the project, as she is responsible for the Interior Design and Marketing for the project. David and Leahann are passionate about creating walkable, aesthetically designed communities, and are excited about making this project a reality in the town they reside.
